Class samples are up and classes are filling.

Our classes are on line and the samples are all hung. Jeff finished putting the last one up yesterday. He's beginning to get an artistic flare when it comes to draping, folding and displaying the quilts, totes and purses.

Classes and clubs are filling up. If you see something you'd like to take, give us a call so we can reserve your spot. We do still have a few spots open in the Groovy Girls Club.

Thanks to Patti H. for sending all the emails out. Everyone liked the reminder.

Birthday Buddies 3rd Golf Tournament

Yesterday was our 3rd Golf Tournament for Birthday Buddies. What a fantastic day, the weather was sunny and clear, the golfers were in good form and Majestic Oaks did a wonderful job helping us host this event.

Here are a few of our golfers warming up on the putting green, cooling off with a bud light or just relaxing before the carts took off for the course.

When the day was over, we had raised enough to provide birthday parties for approx. 200 families.

Thank you to all who helped make that possible. Without your support, we could not continue.

We will post the exact date of next years event soon....see you next year.

All Hopped out...

Good Morning,

The hop is over and things are back to normal at the shop.

I have decided that shop hops are one of my favorite events!!!!!

What a great time we had. I think my favorite part is that everyday you got to meet lots of new customers from all over. Many of the faces we only get to see once a year because they fly in to do Quilt Minnesota with friends or family. Now that's a compliment to all the shops who participate and make this a wonderful event.

Today is our Metro Sections wrap up meeting. We will pick winners, and start the process of planning for next year. It's amazing how fast the time flies. Before you know it,fall and winter will be over and we will be welcoming Spring.

Spring to me also means the "Twin Cities Shop til you Drop Tour". We are already working on and planning for that one. Two great events that I look forward to each year. I hope you do too. I'll keep you informed of anything special as we continue the planning.

I better get ready to head to Glad Creations for our meeting, don't want to be late.

Have a great day,
Patti

Just a sample of what's new for the up coming Fall season.

Here are a few pics of what we have new in the shop for all you Hallowee and Fall lovers!

More will be added in the next few days. Lola is working on the cutest wall hanging and the girls are making more as well.

Do you like to decorate your table for Halloween? We have put together a new runner by Debbie Bowles of Maple Island Quilts. It's called "Rick Rack Rendezvous (see above) and once again, we've put together a topper using Terry Atkinson's (Atkinson Designs) "Happy Holidays" pattern.

Jamie made up the cutest wall hanging by Country Threads called "Trick or Treat". Becky whipped up a few pot holders that are wonderful to add a little fun to your kitchen.

To coin a phrase . . . "Boo-tiful and Spook-tacular"! Stop in and check them out. There's sure to be something for everyone.

Another day full to the brim.

Got up early to get a jump on things. Have a pretty full day planned at the shop.

Quilt Minnesota is still going strong. Yesterday, we had no more than 10 minutes without a shop full of hoppers. That's fantastic, you would expect it to be quieter during the weekdays. It seems that many prefer to come during the week to avoid the weekend crowds. Whenever they decide to come, we welcome them.

I find it amazing how a shop hop can not only bring out the "physical" quilter but the "mental-creativity" of the quilters. Does that make sense to you? I was listening to several quilters talk while looking at a sample hanging on the wall. They were talking about their fabrics and where they would use them in their version of that quilt. How they would change this and add that. In essence, they were designing and creating something unique. When I got them the pattern and we chatted, it was very interesting to hear some of their ideas. They were going on a retreat and taking that pattern as their project. Each was going to make it "Her" way. I would love to see the finished projects - guaranteed they would all be "creatively"different and wonderful.

Our class schedule will be posted on our website today. Patti H. has been working very hard to put together one that has a full array of classes for all levels. Lola, Kim, Patti H, Becky and Georgann and I will all be teaching again. Most of the classes are new but we did offer some of the popular ones again. If you missed one last time, check and see if it's listed this time. If you can't find it, call and we can see if it will be on our Winter schedule.

Well, that's it for now. Better get ready and head to the shop.

Have a wonderful day,
Patti

Quilt Minnesota 2010

Have not had time to blog this week. Quilt Minnesota is in full swing.

The shop hop is in it's 6th day and going strong. Today, we were busy from the time we opened until just now when we closed.

All the quilter's that I've met have been having a fantastic time and are planning to do it again next year. One group came in from Seattle to hop. They completed one section and are starting on their second. Nicest group of ladies - you could tell they were BFF's.

I'm going to go change into something comfortable and put my feet up. Need to rest up for tomorrow.

Keep on quilting,
Patti
